Here is the original question: Does anyone out there know of any known problems running AV3.2 on a Windows 2000 Professional computer? AV worked great on the old Win98 machine but in the process of getting ready for the migration to ArcGIS we updated computers to a Win 2000 Pro computer. AV is now running extremely slow and I am getting the AVArray . . . error message. My thinking is that AV3.2 doesn't like the Win2000 Pro platform for some reason but I cannot find anything definite on the subject. Thanks in advance and I will post a sum. Here are some of the responses that I received: 1. Reinstall AV. (Did that and it didn't help.) 2. Check virtual memory on computer. Run at least 512mg of virtual memory. (Did that and it didn't help.) 3. Install the AV and Win2K service packs. (Did that and it didn't help.) 4. Disable the virus scan software. (Did that and it helped a little.) 5. Set the TEMP environment in the System Control Panel. (Did that and it didn't help.) 6. Recreate the projects and import into new project. (Did that and it didn't help.) On our end we changed the network connection to a faster hub. (I'm reading live data across a network from a single seat AV3.2 for Win.) It seems to be our cadastral data and possibly our zoning coverage that is causing the slowdown. We are going to "live with it" until we do the software upgrade in July. Once again thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
